nomi friday consulting

Hiya, I’m Friday. Here is my resume and linkedin in case you are interested.

My pronouns are they/them, my jeans all have pockets, and my tires are all terrain. If you accidentally use the wrong pronoun for me I promise it won’t rain frogs or anything.

What I Do

I do infosec. My primary focus is helping early stage startup companies setup low cost and effective information security programs.

Over the years I’ve seen a lot of really good shops get forced to dump large amounts of cash on things that could be easily sidestepped with a few early, well-targeted interventions. I like fixing process early so things wind up being cheaper for folks.

I have had fun (for the most part) working at a bunch of really interesting places - from the United Nations, to a 3D printing startup, to Palantir (which is an entire story that I promise I’ll blog about at some point), and most recently to Zipline.

Various Other Notes

Rather confusingly, my family name is first so I go by Friday. If anyone yells “Nomi” I will be 10% confused for a half second.

Patents

I worked for Palantir for a while doing some super interesting bits around industrial control systems and immutable logging infrastructures. If you like looking at patent docs (and if you do I’m honestly a smidge confused) check out the following:
